Pattern of Drug Prescription in Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease Maintained on Hemodialysis in a Tertiary Care Hospital

Background: Chronic kidney disease affects the structure and function of kidneys over a specific period time. It is worldwide public health related problem. usually associated with increasing age, hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular lack exercise.
 Materials Methods: was cross-sectional observational study conducted at Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital. A total 150 patients were enrolled in this from March 2021 to February 2022. Patients aged 18 years above diagnosed chronic treated dialysis included study. Statistical tools used describe relevant data.
 Results: more predominant among males 90 (60%) than females 60 (40%). Thecommon co-morbid conditions hypertension 51(34%) followed by & diabetes 40 (26.66%). 115 (76.66%) receivinghemodialysis twice 26 (17.33%) who receiving it thrice week. An average 7.03 drugs per prescription advised. Commonly hydrocortisone 145 (96.66%), torsemide (85.71%), vitamin D3 105 (75%). Among complications, most commonly occurred chills rigor 15 (10%) backache 12 (8%).
 Conclusion: Hydrocortisone, Vit.D3, prescribed medications CKD maintained on hemodialysis. Hydrocortisone tertiary care hospital. Chills complication during
